Opened in 1975 and remodeled in 2020 with an investment of 560 million dollars, the Caesars Superdome is preparing to host the eighth Super Bowl in its history, an absolute record.
Located just over a kilometer from the iconic Bourbon Street and with capacity for nearly 76,000 spectators, the Superdome will be completely full this Sunday for the game that awards the NFL championship title.
A seat in the New Orleans stadium costs between $3,500 and more than $25,000, while private boxes sell for between $750,000 and $2 million.

The Louisiana city, which has been sealed off to ensure maximum security on the weekend of the final, is preparing to host its eighth Super Bowl in history.

It all began in 1978, when the Dallas Cowboys won the title against the Denver Broncos. Since then, it has hosted the NFL’s grand final in 1981, 1986, 1990, 1997, 2002 and 2013.
But the Superdome has also been the scene of moments that have marked the history of sport, such as Muhammad Ali’s victory over Leon Spinks in ‘September to Remember’, which gave him his third heavyweight title in 1978 before 65,000 spectators.

Two years later, former Panamanian boxer Roberto Durán also fought in this stadium, when he surrendered to Sugar Ray Leonard in the fight known as ‘No Más’.
In 1981, the Rolling Stones gathered more than 87,000 people for their concert in New Orleans, which has been a record for an indoor concert for more than 30 years.
In addition, in 1987, the Super Dome welcomed Pope John Paul II during his apostolic trip to the United States and Canada, in which he toured several cities in these countries from September 10 to 20 of that year.
The last Super Bowl played in the Superdome dates back to 2013, when the Baltimore Ravens beat the San Francisco 49ers.
This year’s Chiefs-Eagles is a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl in Glendale (Arizona), when the Kansas City franchise took home the Vince Lombardi trophy.
The Chiefs have the chance to become the first team capable of winning three consecutive Super Bowls. The Eagles were champions in 2018. EFE
