And what do the AI \u200b\u200bvirtual assistants, consulted daily by millions of users worldwide, ‘say’? These are some of the answers that some of these “chatbots” have given to EFE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Claude’, from the American company Anthropic – present at the presentation of the encyclical – describes it as “timely and ambitious” because it “puts the protection of the person” at the center and emphasizes that “technology must serve humanity and not the other way around”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This chat, which claims to be “without self-interest” and which “tries” to be impartial, appreciates in ‘Magnifica Humanitas’ a “moral compass” but sees its limit in the proposal of policies in real systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, ChatGPT, from OpenIA, one of the most famous tools of this type, emphasizes that it has no “personal beliefs or religious faith” but, following an “intellectual impression”, appreciates “a serious attempt to respond ethically to the present”, although limited also by “an overly general tone”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gemini, Google’s assistant, values \u200b\u200bthat ‘Magnifica Humanitas’ “does not adopt a technophobic stance, but proposes an ecology of technology.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The encyclical “validates my usefulness as a tool for calculation and processing but strips me of any moral or human authority, reminding us that the future of society must be guided by social justice, fraternity and dignity,” he acknowledges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DeepSeek, a Chinese platform criticized for its alleged censorship, also offers a detailed summary of the encyclical, thus virtually bridging the diplomatic rift between Beijing and the Holy See.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is an ambitious document that attempts to do moral theology in dialogue with current technical reality, although some sections inevitably turn out to be generic given the speed of technological change,” DeepSeek responds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regulation and governance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to arguing that technology should not be concentrated in the hands of a few, one of the key points of the American pontiff’s document is the need for a shared ethical code on AI and appropriate policies and legal frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ChatGpt agrees with this point, albeit with “important nuances.” In their view, it makes sense for the world to regulate algorithms, given their global reach, but they maintain that “unified and rigid regulation is unrealistic.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why he proposes a hybrid model in which AI follows common international principles, such as transparency or legal accountability, combining them with regional or national laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthropic’s driving force follows the same line and believes that international cooperation in this area should seek minimum standards for a “common framework” to regulate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
