EFE\/@Nasdaq<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New York, June 12 (EFE) \u2013 Aerospace company SpaceX debuted on Wall Street&#8217;s Nasdaq index this Friday at a price of $150 per share, representing an increase of approximately 11% compared to the price set in its initial public offering (IPO) of $135 per share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company, owned by magnate Elon Musk, structured its IPO with 555.6 million shares, raising around $75 billion in what is already considered the largest initial public offering in history, surpassing the record set in 2019 by Saudi oil company Aramco, which raised $25.6 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the early stages of trading, the stock price showed volatility, and around 12:00 PM New York time (4:00 PM GMT), shares were trading at around $166, bringing the cumulative increase to approximately 23% since the IPO price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This would place the company&#8217;s market capitalization at around $2.2 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this valuation, the company joins the ranks of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States, dominated by tech giants, behind Nvidia, Alphabet, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the price was lower than some pre-IPO predictions, which had estimated it could reach $175 per share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this transaction, Musk becomes the first person in the world with a net worth of one trillion dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The automotive company Tesla, where Musk is also CEO, is also listed on the Nasdaq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The magnate followed his aerospace company&#8217;s IPO from Texas, while SpaceX CEO Gwynne Shotwell watched from Nasdaq&#8217;s offices in New York.
